It's probably inevitable, and it's inevitable that someone will have a
work around within minutes of it hitting the market. The police will
have some kind of directional EMP gun for disabling them, but they'll
be useless, except, of course, against the law abiding.

Electric firing mechanisms with their near zero lock time is something
I'd like very much to see, though.
