I think the primary problem in this context is that Christianity is an
extremely agressive religion (as well as Judaism and Islam):
Since only one god is accepted and everything else is considered evil
it's impossible for other religions to be accepted by Christians which
makes peacful contact hard if not impossible.
Christians are showing tolerance only if possible - which reminds me on
an Arab saying: If you are not able to cut a hand off you have to shake it.
