In Toledo, Ohio you can own some guns but many are banned.

The handguns the police are issued (9mm or .40 Sigs) are illegal
for citizens (subjects?) to buy.  They are considered "junk" guns
and therefore unsafe.

At $850 a pop that is some expensive junk.
