I said it was illegal to ship handguns via the USPS since 1956.  You
could still ship them via a common carrier.

If you hold a C&R license, you can still order certain firearms
shipped to your door.  People used to get around the blanket ban that
happened in 1968 (Gun Control Act) by getting FFLs.  They used to be
easier to get than they are now.

My point was simply that the NRA was not responsible for the Kennedy
assasination as you seemed to imply.

And no one is dumping guns on the community.  People want guns and
buy them.  That is why there is a supply.  If there was no demand,
then there would be no supply.  It's simple economics.
