**Australia and the UK have roughly similar levels of most crimes to that of
the US. Where the UK and Australia differ from the US is in the area of
homicide. Americans are far more skilled at murdering their fellow citizens.
They also use guns far more often in the pursuit of homicide. BTW: Australia
and the UK have always enjoyed relatively tough gun laws, compared to the
US.
