Not really any of those. Maybe a .243.


Isn't the .243 a necked down .308 Winchester?  I don't own one or
have experience with it, but from what I seem to recall in a
reloading manual, that is a fairly hot little cartridge.  That is it
is comprable in muzzle velocity to the .223 Rem but with the larger,
heavier bullet.  I would think it more powerful than the 6.5 Carcano.

The .243 Winchester is indeed a necked down .308 Winchester which is almost identical to the 7.62Nato round. .243 caliber is a 6 mm bullet.
