Translation (per 100,000)
Homicide Agg Assault Robbery
US 5.5 324 145
Canada 1.8 143 88

In 1991 the rate of violent crime in Canada was 1077.3. In 2002 it went to
956.5. According to my calculator that works out to a decrease of 11%.
Leading the way were firearm crimes. During that period firearm homicides fell
43% and robberies with a firearm dropped an incredible 57% (271 to 171 and
8,995 to 3,833).
Those figures come from Statistics Canada. What dark hole Mauser pulled his
from I don't know.
