It is difficult to enslave people who have guns.  It is impossible to
*keep* people enslaved if they have guns.  

The first gun control laws in the southern USA were designed to keep
guns out of the hands of African slaves and former slaves.  Although
some of these laws theoretically also applied to white people, in
practice they were only enforced against black people who might
otherwise have used guns to protect themselves from the KKK.

It's very interesting that gun control lobbysist like Sarah Brady
stockpile deadly weapons while they try to disarm everyone else.  Does
the gun control lobby want to disarm people so that they can
re-instate slavery?
