That was an amazing segment. What happened is that the put parents behind a two-way mirror and let their kids play in a classroom. (kids were about five years old.) There were miscellaneous toys and a backback, and in the backpack was a fake but very real-looking handgun. The kids who had training from their parents wanted nothing to do with it. The kids from "anti-gun" families demonstrated the highest degree of curiousity, the lowest degree of safety awareness and the highest amount of dangerous behavior. One kid waved it around. Then they interviewed the parents. The anti-gun parents simply could not believe that their kids didn't know better than not to play with the gun. -c
