We already have one. It's called the European Parliament. The problem in all this, as I'm pointed out several times, is assuming that government will represent their countries better than MEPs. Bullshit. I'm opposed to the Portuguese government in almost everything I can think of. I didn't vote for them. In most matters, I'm actually better represented in the Council by the Belgian government, whom I couldn't vote for. The thought that the Portuguese government, which I didn't vote for, and not the MEPs which I did voted for, represents me, would be totally laughable if it wasn't serious. I haven't the slighest interest in expanding the voting power of the current Portuguese government in European matters. I'd rather expand the power of Portuguese MEPs. -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG
