I do think that if the consitution final draw looks like a weaken
compromise to please states like Spain and Poland on their
over-representation, then I would vote no. Better a veto based system
that a weird assembly with a vote by majority. Nobody needs medium
sized state such as Spain to play the hero " representing small
states" in the council of ministers.

What we need is an assembly that reflects the European population and
in such terms it must be more German or French than Spanish
representants. I'm from a smaller state than Spain and I don't mind.

Nice was a huge disapointment. The French governement had a very
miserable performance during the negociation.

But if you can "feel" a real step forward "one citizen one vote" IE:
more confidence between countries and respect their size, then I would
vote yes.

The last report on the European defence seems quite positive to me.

Concerning foreign policy...Well I don't think we can expect much from
this side, gaps are too important right now. It doesn't mean that
nothing will change tomorrow.

Never forget that the EU project in an infinite sum of "small steps".
It took 50 years to reach our level. It will take probably more to
reach what most "europhiles" hope. If there is a possibility to get a
new "acquis" then europhiles have to go for it.
