One is supposed to be news and the other commentary. News reporting is dominated by liberals and commentary by conservatives. You are free to become a talk show host. I'll tell you how. Make as many friends of general managers and program directors as you can. Sooner or later, one will have an emergency shift to fill. S/He'll call you up one day, probably a Sunday, and tell you no matter how bad your hangover is, how bad you smell, or if you are actually having sex now, get your ass out of bed and down to the radio station. That is it. There is nothing else to it. There are no qualifications for being a talk show host. It will be up to you to keep whatever audience transfers over from what was there last Sunday and hopefully not screw it up enough so that you can appear again the next Sunday or the next emergency. Good luck. It is possible. EJ
