nothing lately, but i have a few that i'll be working up in the next couple of
weeks.  the one with the highest likelihood of seeing print is one i'm calling
"lies, damn lies and 8th graders."  the monitoring the future study is the
source -- fucking 8th graders are lying little bastards.  according to the mtf
8th graders are using heroin more than 10th and 12th graders ... sure they are.

i'm working up something else on comparing causes of death for those below 18 --
mainly for a drug reform guy, but i'll try to turn that into something that can
be published.  yes "the children" are dying -- but not from illegal drugs.

i'm working on a study of the rates of schizophrenia versus increased pot use. 
as you may know, a recent report tried to make the link (again) using studies
involving twins.  bottom line is that the rate of schizophrenia is historically
around 1 percent of the general population -- increased use of pot and other
drugs has done nothing to alter that.  hopefully, i can get that one published
in an academic journal.

lastly, i'm working up a series of articles to put on my web site (and hopefully
as paid published bits) -- comparing the headlines from the past to the
headlines of today in the war on drugs.  it didn't work for our
great-grandfathers and it ain't gonna work for us.  some of the headlines from
the past are hysterical -- but mostly they look like the headlines in today's
newspapers.  some day we'll learn.
