Please don't mix egoism with individualism.
Those are two entirely different matters.

I was asked to list some things that are problems with "getting high". If you don't like the answers I think you know what you can do about it.

Individualism can be very scary for a settled down authoritarian,
so scary that only partaking in the act, he's so scared of, can clear his system for a broader consciousness.

I have to hand it to you. As an amateur psychologist you are more clearly an amateur than anyone I have ever met.

So try this one for size; As i understand you've used drugs as a youthful person and had some
bad experiences and bad outcome with it,

Actually I can't recall ever having a bad experience or a bad outcome. Unlike Rush I never got addicted to anything, and unlike Ozzy Osbourne nothing I did ever contributed to a later health condition. For a long time I just assumed I was incredibly lucky to have escaped hurting myself or anyone else. Then someone suggested that the credit was owed not to luck but to God. Personally I'm still not sure, but I HAVE figured out that my luck is liable to run out a long time before my faith does.

My epiphany was entirely a result of seeing the tragedies
that consumed others.

so why don't try it as a
settled down individual, it's a different world so please give it a
shot, then come back and discuss, all this nei-saying
is getting tedious (even for a lurker).

I've conducted the infamous "Murphy Brown" experiment. I don't claim that pot is inherently evil. What I DO claim is that it deserves the same caution and respect that are due to any other drug or medicine.

You might prefer to argue against stoned people, but I think
you need to realize that at some point you're going to need
to change the minds of people who are not stoned and never
have been. My nay-saying is no more tedious than it's been
to listen to 30 years of your "Are we there yet? Are we
there yet?" whining.

If it's so darned obvious and easy why don't you just
change the law? Answer: it isn't easy. You need to build
consensus, and you need to elect people who think the same
way you do. Good luck.
