I know that Intel tests their employees - since I have several friends who work for them. It also may depend a lot on where you live. In the Bay Area, there are a lot of firms that don't test - so employees have options if they don't wish to submit to a drug-test. Of course - the current employment situation is such that this doesn't mean much at the present I'm certain that they're not sneaking a drug test in on me. I DID have one employer that required a pre-employment physical - but that was because one of the benefits they provided was a very nice disability insurance policy. The physical was for the insurance company - and the documents I signed for that specifically said that none of the results of any of the blood or urine tests (or any other test for that matter) could be released to my employer without my prior written consent. At a small company, I don't think testing is viable for practical reasons. Everyone knows each other and works together closely - drug testing would just be silly. If anyone we were working with HAD a drug problem - it would be readily apparent to everyone else. Guido
