That's my understanding as well.

Urine is essentially sterile, unless the person supplying the urine has a
kidney or bladder infection.

There is one drug that has been used in Asia (sorry, can't remember the
name) where in the past (don't know about now) rich people would get the
drug from the plant, and poor people would beg for urine from the rich
people, since the active ingredient passed through unchanged.

There was actually less risk for the poor because certain poisonous
ingredient(s) were filtered out and did not appear in the urine.
