Considerably more than half of all the deer taken during > Wisconsin's deer season are does. But that may be just because they're required to. What would sport hunters kill more of, in the absence of the requirement to shoot a doe first? I grew up in a heavily hunting rural area in southwestern New York state. I still visit that area often and I'm personally acquainted with many hunters. My own experience, admittedly anecdotal, with hunters then and now tends to support his claim: Most sport hunters are far more interested in killing bucks. That sounds true in Wisconsin too from what you say, because if it weren't true then there would be no need to *require* hunters to shot a doe before they can receive a buck tag. Hunters would shoot does without being required to. The need for that requirement you describe actually tends to support the original poster's claim. > Clearly the author needs to become better informed. > > Kala Thompson > Richland Center, Wi > > > > > > -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- > http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! > -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =-----
