There was a conserted effort by the news media to sway the election by reporting problems that didn't happen, Reporting that polls had closed when they hadn't etc. 2. The Gore Campaign had a strategy to create confusion in states where the election appeared to be close. 3. The Gore campaign had legal strategies in place to contest the vote in close states such as Oregon, Missouri, Florida and others. Bottom Line is the Gore Campaign had as it's national strategy to attempt to steal the election if they won the popular vote but would lose the electoral college vote. It was Gore who was attempting to steal the election not Bush. There were 5000 to 7000 fraudulent votes in the 4 heavily democratic counties of Multonomah, Clackamas, Washington, and Lane counties in the state of Oregon that Bush lost by 5000 votes. I personally know of 17 people that voted in all four counties on election day. (We have vote by mail and that is a fraud waiting to happen). I also know of regesterd Republicans that had their ballots stolen out of there mail boxes and mailed. When they went to the county elections office they could not get new ballots as their ballots had all ready been voted. The Independent
