To borrow Rice's definition:

fascism n. 1. Often Fascism.a. A system of government 
    marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, 
    stringent socioeconomic controls, 

I'd say that last covers it. Nobody is talking about the stringent
socioeconomic controls, just the "dictator" part.

That merger is, IMO, "A Very Bad Thing", no matter if initiated from
the business side or the government side.

One is monopolistic capitalism and the other is fascism, and the only
diff I see between the two is a few of the words written on the bottem
of the jackboots. (Union family with Appalachian ancestors, but the
unions have taken to treating the members as a marketable commodity,
so screw'mall.)

Now, about Bush being such a good friend of big business - How come
the *Democrats* are getting most of their money from big biz? Is Bush
getting as much from them, plus all that cash from small donars? Why
aren't the Dem's getting small donations if they are such friends of
"the little guy"?
