Where do you think gays and druggies work? 

IMO, gays have an advantage in dealing with social situations, and so
do better, on average, in politics and entertainment.

Entertainers with a loose grip on reality and an ability to get deep
into a fantasy role do better, on average, than those who have a
stronger grip on reality. Result? More drug use.

The "average person" thinks "on average" means "everyone", and a
single exception proves a statement about "on average" to be false.
