You are incorrect.  Perhaps most Democrats are "Leftist Liberals," but
not all of them are.  I personally know several Democrats who are in
favor of the marketplace, individual freedom, individually owned
firearms, etc.  Senator Zell Miller certainly is, as was the late and
much lamented John F. Kennedy.  It is true that today's Democratic
Party is led by people who are opposed to the above ideas.  They make
a mockery of the term "liberal," since they are the very antithesis of
classical liberalism.  They favor government control over as much of
the individual's life as possible, choosing government coercion over
individual freedom at every turn.
