Dreck is just on auto-pilot.  He habitually disclaims 
responsibility for outcomes resulting from processes in 
which he is intimately and voluntarily involved on an 
on-going basis.  He knows he's wrong, but it's a 
question of the false pride of social class.  He's a 
British working class yobbo, an ex-skinhead, and he's 
damned if he's going to concede to university educated 
people.
