A spot on the brain has been recently located that actually gives people the illusion of objects in space. It has been scientifically connected to two fleshy bulbs rich with neurons. The back of the brain is the site of the fantastic illusions, leaving no doubt that any consideration of 'vision' must be viewed with deep scepticism, since it is so clearly localized in a particular brain area. Those folks afflicted with "vision" are relentlessly led to make assumptions of "things out there" in spite of the localized nature of the illusion of sight. It's all in one's head after all. It is hoped that in future such unwarranted illusions can be cured altogether by surgery or toxic drug therapies.
