I suppose that by intelligent life you mean life that is aware of its own
existence?
I believe it is called "Anthropy" or the fact that we sprouted from this
universe on purpose so there would be sentient beings capable of thinking
and being aware of the universe and their existence...
but why ?
Perhaps the ensuing question is why does the answer keep on eluding us ?
