It may have been programmed in the nature of human beings by evolution. Nature developed through millions of years while culture evolved appreciably through a mere thousands, then through mere centuries and now in a generation. Human reproduction was necessary for the survival of the species. (For most of human history and prehistory, human beings did not have the leisure to think about abortion since they barely lived long enough to reproduce.) Now human beings live longer and understand that the consequences of the reproductive process is interfering with their ability to enjoy a more satisfying lifestyle. Human beings must learn to overcome their natural urges to better enjoy life.
