Is Evolution a Fact - I Don't Know

I find it hard to believe that as a science teacher dealing with
student questions on a subject many people consider intrinsically
important that you would simply pass the ball back to them. Don't you
at least feel an obligation to give them some sort of guidance in how
to study all sides? Have you taught them how to discern the difference
between science and pseudo-science, or anything at all about critical
thinking and analysis vis-a-vis science issues?
  One more question: did you ever make up your own mind?
