My S.O. doesn't "get it" either. I wonder how many of the frequent posters
here have significant others who give them puzzled looks, not just for
their hobbies, but for the sheer amount of time they spend on them.

Talk origins is such an obsession with me that I often spend free time at
work composing replies in my head to recent posters. My fiancee, who is
smarter and more capable than I in pretty much every way, nonetheless
thinks I'm insane for the amount of time I spend on this newsgroup.
