Dee, Totally agreed. It's quite strange that the same medical association that protects a woman's right to safe abortions does not speak out for the right of a terminally ill and hopelessly suffering person to end their life in the most humane and dignified way? I thought they were pro-choice and would respect a person's choice to end his or her life when things got that way - as in cancer or AIDS or other really painful and debilitating diseases. But it seems we live in the dark ages. I guess that, unless they bring in a commonsense law, it'll be "coat-hanger style" euthanasia for most of us when the time comes.
