Maybe Robert will find something, but I've spent the last couple days trying to find this very information and haven't come up with anything. Quite honestly, I've found more indication that there *wasn't* any rehabilitation after the malpractice award, although I don't know that it was a requirement. But what I'm starting to wonder is whether Michael isn't also a victim in all this, not so much as a result of Terri's condition or the Schindlers, but possibly of his own advisors. With regard to Terri's medical fund, this article seems to indicate that precious little was spent on Terri from the time of the award up until 1998 when Michael sought to have her feeding tube removed. I'm curious about the attorneys' fees. Were they really more than 50% or do I just need to dye my hair?? http://www.sptimes.com/News/060301/TampaBay/Fund_for_Schiavo_s_me.shtml There's also an article claiming that Michael's attorney was chairman of the board of the hospice where Terri resides. I can only assume Michael knew that George Felos was a right-to-die advocate when he hired him, but did he know of his connection to the hospice? http://www.hospicepatients.org/A-willingness-to-kill.html Quoting: "How did this situation arise? Hospice chairman of the board at the time, George Felos, is the attorney representing Michael Schiavo's efforts to kill Terri. When Michael Schiavo contacted Felos, George had just the place to kill Terri: his very own hospice! So, he stepped down from the board, temporarily of course, until the legal battle to kill Terri is over. After the legal battle, we're sure good old right-to-kill-patients-advocate George will be right back on the board. George is a student of Ira Byock, MD (a well known hospice physician) who advocates adding "aid in dying" (through terminal sedation ) to the mix of "services" provided by hospices."
