You're right, it wasn't particularly cold here in the Bay Area on 
Sunday. 

However it is all to common here, as well as elsewhere, for newspapers, 
radio and TV news staff to report on the weather that has happened.  
This would be understandable if there had been something extreme, but 
usually this happens when the weather is only slightly unusual.

This lack of substance seems to me to be an excellent example of 
corporate peon journalism.
