I do not know which well known people support these positions,
but I have heard some non-religious arguments against abortion.
The arguments say that, 'As a matter of public health policy,
abortion is not to be encouraged over other means of population
control because:
--- abortion is the most expensive form of birth control,
--- abortion is an evasive procedure, which risks undesirable
aftereffects while other techniques have much smaller risks,
--- abortion is an after-the-fact birth control, not one that
encourages long range advance family planning.'
