Hang on, by th edefinitions given all over this NG an atheist is
someone who does not believe in God. Surely then if you are not a
theist then you are an atheist or an agnostic. By this definition you
are an atheist by not believing in GOd, not by choosing to become an
atheist. Someone who has never heard of the western term atheism can
still be an atheist by not believing in any kind of God. Ergo, a great
number of theists who were converted would be ex atheists. ....

Being an atheist has nothing to do with intelligence, by claiming so
you say that you are cleverer than any theist, does that include such
people as Newton? Or Ghandi? Or Faraday? Atheism is a philosophical
principle not a logical one. Htough again maybe not even a
philsophical one as it can apply to someone who has not chosen to
become an atheist. Hmmmm
