> Birth is when a baby gains it's physical independance and only then > should it gain the right's of a human life. Until then, the > embryo/fetus/baby is a parasite that leeches sustinance from it's mother > and causes it's mothers to suffer pain and distress. So what about babies that are born prematurely??, they can't be able to survive on their own and require constant and intensive medical care. Thus they're not physical independant are they? They can't survive and instead of being leechers to their mothers, their leeching off incubators clinging for dear life. Do we just let them die, by your definition they're not human since they're not physically independant.. so we should just let them die (being not human). We don't kill them because they're still human, regardless of the fact that they're not "physically independant" . With modern medicine the way it is, babies born 2-3 months before their due date can survive the birth. At this rate, soon we'll be able to deliver babies once they reach the embryonic stage and keep them alive for the nine months of growth. At this point, everyone will be happy, since mothers wishing to abort don't have too, just deliver the baby earlier and no abortions need to take place. How about the millions of babies that were aborted before this technology sould be achieved?? Do you want to take responsibility for this modern day genocide? According to your definition of life , even an embryo can be considered alive, (if this technology were to exist). A little clarification, the difference between a fetus 1 week before the actual birth, isn't much a week after birth. Just the name changes from fetus to baby. THat;s why partial birth abortion is the most cruel of actions. http://keithrozario.blogspot.com
