Bush states "we all worship the same god"

In his press conference with Tony Blair in Britain he mentioned
his belief that Muslims, Christians, and presumably Jews all
worship the same God.  

I was wondering what the consensus is about this among these 
religions.  I am a Christian myself, but don't know much about
religion, admittedly.  I have been intriqued by this idea for
a while, after I had heard about the role Abraham plays  in all
three. 

Is this a generally accepted or rejected idea?  Do some 
religions or churches readily accept this?  I know some 
evangelical Christian groups had criticized his statement 
right away.  I'm curious about this, any info is appreciated.
