It has a cool discussion (and debunks) arguments that homsexuality is unnatural, a mental illness, immoral, or against religion: www.criticalreflections.com/homosexuality.htm < Nice resource, especially on the Bible part, but I missed not seeing Romans 14:14. I like to think of Romans 14 as the UU chapter. One cannot logially object to homosexual orientation, because it comes with the person. There remains the issue of what someone with that orientation is supposed to do about it. There are valid ethical arguments that can be made for both choices. One may argue that it is better for the person to seek a homosexual relationship. Another may argue that it is better for the person to set aside a misdirected desire and seek a "normal" relationship. Both positions may be argued from the standpoint of love. But in any case, the choice is a personal one, that must be respected, whether we agree or disagree with that choice. -- soc.religion.unitarian-univ is a moderated newsgroup.
