Re: ~Iran The Slave~

The Brits are the most to blame because Britain has 'An Ethical Foreign
Policy.'
Also unlike the French, Germans and Russians who take the view that what
happens in other countries is their own business, the Brits are committed to
using economic intervention to promote democracy and human rights.
Therefore, the British position on Iran is particularly heinous.
But it does reflect the growing Liberal-Left shift across Europe and the US
toward supporting dictators and repressive States against the US.
The French and Germans believe that Muslim countries, given the nature of
Islam, can only be kept secure through brutal State repression.
They are saying "I told you so about Iraq." And hoping that the US will come
to understand that Saddams actions were wholly consistent with the nature of
Islamic societies. i.e. If you dont repress Muslims they will seek to
repress you, and that any attempt to grant freedom, genuine democracy and
choice is seen as a weakness.
In this context there is admiration of the 'Peace and Stability through
Strength' policy of the IRI.
The current EU and British position is that the IRI should be Shirinised
rather than replaced.
