Why are Indians working at Indian embassies and consulates in western 
countries paid so much less than the locals? For example, a receptionist 
in Manhattan might make $30k or more in a job at a large health club, 
but the receptionist at the Indian consulate probably makes no more than 
$12k.

Btw. where did you go to school in India, and what was the name of the 
school? I'm just curious.
