(sigh)  Pension is for retirement.  Gurkhas retire in Nepal
and Brits retire in Britain. 

And Gurkhas don't always do the same job in the same place.
For example, they were in East Timor, where cost of living
is lower than UK, and they still get the same benefits and
wages as British soldier.
