Further east, there were other groups wit a similar culture. The Qin people, after who China is named, lived in Northwest China. There are many unexcavated sites in that area, and the Russians and Chinese are not very eager to excavate them for some reason. The Qin have many IE characteristics such as their gods, burial mode, architecture etc. It is not clear what language they spoke, probably a mixture of Turkish, Mongolian and IE.
