It is really simple, no lying necessary. For activities, list the
Black Students Union. Start one if there isn't one at your school. For
your essay, write about celebrating Kwanzza with your family. For
ethnicity, decline to state. You do have to think of this before
senior year, though,if you are going to be honest about it. I remember
a bunch of white-looking people on tv a year or two ago who were
surprised to learn that one of their ancestors was a black slave. Many
Americans could have a bit of black blood in them and not know it.
What does "African-American" mean anyway?
