Hi all, haven't been here in a while and catching up on these posts. I think we atheists/nonbelievers are equally prone to depression or boredom with life and listlessness as any other type of person. And I agree we are not obliged to justify our lives to anyone. We can find meaning in our lives just from living it and trying to enjoy it as best we can and help others to do the same. But I do find it hard sometimes to explain this to others, especially where I live in a religious backward place like N.Ireland! I think we can find meaning in life just by getting on with it, by finding interests and hobbies that enthuse us, by enjoying friends and family, etc. But yes I admit to getting fed up and bored with life at times however these phases pass eventually. If you have good health treasure this and make the most of it. I have poor health yet somehow I manage to hang in here and carry on...... Denise.
