We are seeking an exceptional Scientist to join our System Integration team to assist with our Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) work, primarily using Eddy Current Inspection Systems (ECIS) .
As this Scientist, you will work with our Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) team programming a 7-axis robot to inspect rotating engine components of military aircraft using eddy current technology.
Your responsibilities will include the development of new Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) applications and investigation of innovative techniques such as giant magneto resistive (GMR) sensors.
Experience applying GMR sensors to USAF aging aircraft or similar problems is highly desirable.
This opportunity is located in our facility in Dayton, Ohio.
Requirements for this position:
MS degree in material science, physics, engineering, or related discipline
Practical work experience from job experience or thesis or senior research work
Experience with computers and computer programming
Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information – ability to attain a U.S. DoD security clearance is required
The ideal candidate would also possess:
PhD in Material Science, Physics, or related discipline
Familiarity with non-destructive evaluation technology
Knowledge of and/or experience using Eddy Current Technology is highly desired
