I analyze 2D-GEL protein spots by mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and I have some questions for you. 1) Do you know what are the characteristic that the scientific journals ask in order to accept the identification of a 2D-GEL spot analyzed using LC-MS/MS? 2) Is it sufficient to specify the protein molecular mass, Isoelectric point, Mascot statistical Score, and number of identified peptides? 3) Is it necessary to reach a % of aminoacidic coverage or is it sufficient to have a good agreement among the parameter specified in the previous question (question 2)? 4) If yes what is this % coverage? Please reply me both on the newsgroup and at my E-MAIL address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I would like to thank you very much for your help. Sincerely yours Simone
