Dear Ken: Our 700 model turbo suffered a catastrophic failure. It was not repairable and thus was replaced. A 701 model turbo was installed but it too failed (later models of the 700 and now the 701 turbo are equipped with axial bearing dampeners - these were intended to solve the problems with this series of pumps). We are currently on our third turbo, and are knocking on wood. In both cases we dealt with our MS manufacturer to effect repairs. I am unsure whether these turbos can be repaired, but I imagine it would be informative to speak to both your MS manufacturer and Leybold about your problem.
