But their ancestors along an alternate timeline would've had 
descendents. Their gene pools and cultures would be much better 
preserved than they are now.

I expect both the David and Vanegas bloodline would still exist.

I am very happy my daughters exist. But their existence doesn't make 
past injustices right.
