A Postdoctoral Fellowship is available immediately to work as part of
a team on a collaborative project with Sun Microsystems and Gaussian
Inc. The project involves the development of efficient computational
chemistry/physics software and algorithms for contemporary shared
memory parallel computers. Applicants with a strong background in any
area of scientific computation (or computer science) will be
considered, although experience in quantum mechanics applied to
molecular and/or solid state systems will be highly valued.

The position is located in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty
of Engineering and Information Technology, The Australian National
University (ANU). It offers the opportunity for interaction with other
programs within the Department as well as the wider community of ANU.
The position will require travel to the USA and is available for a
fixed term period of up to 3 years. The salary is likely to be in the
the range of AUS$44,000-54,000, with an additional superannuation
(pension) component of 17%
