The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, National Animal Disease
Center, Bacterial Diseases of Livestock Research Unit, is seeking a
POSTDOCTORAL RSEARCH ASSOCIATE, (Research Molecular Biologist,
GS-11/12). Ph.D. is required. Salary is commensurate with experience
($47,110-$73,403 per annum) plus benefits. There are some citizenship
restrictions. The incumbent will use a proteomic approach to identify
proteins from Mycobacterium paratuberculosis whose expression is
significantly altered during in vivo infection as compared to
laboratory culture conditions. Knowledge of protein chemistry,
microbial culture, HPLC, and/or mass spectrophotometry is desirable.
