mechanism of distribuition of wealth ??

What kind of economy is it -- when those who sell the stuff and
distribute the stuff are rewarded much more than those who actually
manufacture (and develop) the stuff ?? Where did the society come to
??

One recent example is in front of my eyes: an immigrant, my
acquaintance's father owns a pharmacy. The financial perks overflow
from the father to the acquaintance of mine, who is a fresh uni
graduate. I would be able to afford such a stuff only by the end of my
(would-be) life-long scientist's career. How come ?!!
