You sure know how to cheer a person up. The fact is that I do have an
idea what I would like to do, I do have some contacts, I have even
been offered some positions already. When it comes to having a network
of contacts I have a problem, because I want to do my PhD outside of
my country.

As a student I haven't had the opportunity to travel that much (only
four laboratory practices in Germany, Spain and the UK) to have a
broad network of contacts. I will therefore have to be masochistic and
contact strangers directly to find out if they have PhD positions
available.

My question was simply: where online can you find interesting places
to do research? Your answer seems to be PubMed. Thank you.
