>hello! >can anybody help me to solve a problem with g.a. kellys theory about the >personal constructs? >he is saying, that "theory is no view".( in a book from bannister and >fransella). >can anybody explain this to me? >thanks >nase > Its great to see someone entreat in Kelly's PCP. As for your question, I am not so sure; "Man looks at his world through transparent templets which he creates and then attempts to fit over the realities of which the world is composed." As far as my understanding is concerned, Personal constructs are 'antipatory lenses', so I think that perhaps this comment "theory is no view" reflects Kants sentiment that "concepts without content are empty". Im Not sure. But I will say this, Piagets genetic epistemology compliments Kelly's PCP beautifully, both have proven themselves to be very influential in the development of constructivists thought in 20th century.
